CERS—Beyond the Basics for Teachers is an intermediate and advanced training on CERS features, including customizing groups in CERS, using advanced filters, exploring specific features available for interim assessment data, and reviewing information available in Individual Student Reports
Audience: This online training is designed for teachers and other educational staff who have or will have access to CERS assessment results, for example, teachers who have students rostered in the system and other LEA staff who are interested in using CERS.

On-Demand Trainings and Modules
This on-demand training provides guidance on the appropriate assignment of accessibility resources for the classroom. It provides participants with an understanding of how to use accessibility resources, how to observe students using assigned accessibility resources, and how to adjust throughout the year on the basis of those observations.
Audience: LEA CAASPP and ELPAC coordinators, special education specialists, curriculum coordinators, or teachers on special assignment.

These on-demand learning modules guide educators on how to hand score performance tasks and other constructed response items for CAASPP and ELPAC interim assessments.
Understanding how to hand score items is an important part of preparing to use the interim assessments, as hand scoring interim assessments is a local responsibility. In addition, the careful analysis of student work on constructed response items can offer teachers valuable insight into student learning as it relates to the relevant standards.

ELPAC Modules
This series of asynchronous professional learning modules, posted on the Moodle Training Site, provides training on leveraging ELPAC and Alternate ELPAC results to support teaching and learning for English learner students. Learn how to use protocols that link ELPAC task types to robust classroom instruction, which could be used to create ELPAC-like assessments and instructional sequences in context. The training also includes video clips, student work, and reflections from the implementation of these practices with English learner students.
These modules are designed for local facilitation in small teams and are also accessible as stand-alone learning experiences. Educators can select topics based on their prior knowledge and experience.
Audience: Educators, including classroom teachers, coaches, teachers on special assignments, and administrators who play a role in supporting high-quality instruction for English learner students in the classroom.

These on-demand learning modules guide educators on how to hand score performance tasks and other constructed response items for CAASPP and ELPAC interim assessments.
Understanding how to hand score items is an important part of preparing to use the interim assessments, as hand scoring interim assessments is a local responsibility. In addition, the careful analysis of student work on constructed response items can offer teachers valuable insight into student learning as it relates to the relevant standards.
Audience: Teachers, instructional coaches, educators on special assignment, coordinators, and administrators.

Site administrators are invited to participate in the January 2025 virtual Site Administrator Assessment Convening, to be hosted by the Sacramento County Office of Education on behalf of the CDE.
The January convening will focus on preparing for summative testing—which will include topics such as reviewing appropriate accessibility resources for all students and monitoring test completion at the school site level. This convening will provide an opportunity to learn about resources and tools offered by the CDE, share ideas with other site administrators, and ask questions.
You can choose one of two convening dates and times. The same content will be presented during each session.
